Day 154

I went to the museum today and took some pictures.

A cute, little old man came up to me and said, "Do you like to take a lot of pictures?"
"Yes," I replied.
"Well, whenever you're going to take some pictures, you should put your camera in the microwave for about 10 seconds."
"Oh, really?  Why?"
"Because you can really get some hot shots!"

Day 152

A friend sent me this scribble to finish:

Here's what I came up with:

Day 151

I saw the movie Frankenweenie a while back.  I thought it was really good.  Today, I cut my finger at work.  It wasn't too bad, but it made me think of a new meaning for 'Frankenweenie.'

If you cut your finger, you can attach a sausage, a pork and beef wiener for instance, as a replacement finger.  Instant Frankenweenie!

Day 150

It's been one hundred and fifty days!

I'm thankful that I've been able to make it this far and I'm looking forward to continuing this journey.  Hopefully once I get settled into my new schedule, I'll be able to spice the art up a little more.

Hopefully I'll also be able to improve perspective in my drawings!

Day 149

I did a couple scribble drawings today.  The blue pen was drawn by a friend and then I tried to visualize something and drew the rest with a black pen.

Day 148

When I wrote out my schedule for this week, I used the boxes for the days as legs for an elephant.

Day 145

Daniel 6: 23-  The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den.  And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

Day 143

Sometimes, when it gets really cold, I think getting stranded on a desert island wouldn't be so bad.

And then I realize that is a completely ridiculous thought.  I can make it through the winter!  Nice warm blankets and wool socks help an awful lot.

Day 142

Disney's Aladdin was on tv today.  Here's Rajah, Jasmine's pet tiger.

Day 141

I made an underwater fish scene out of construction paper.  I may end up using this fish again for another project.  Stay tuned...

Day 140

I wrote out my schedule at work today.  The boxes somehow reminded me of the Titanic, so I drew it.

Look!  It's a Titanic inflatable slide!
It would be even better if it could float and the slide would lead right into actual water.

Day 138

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore.  Dream.  Discover."
-Mark Twain

Day 137

This is a sketch of an orange Tupperware container that used to hold brown sugar (and now holds art supplies).
My mom had a whole set of these.  When she upgraded to new containers, I had to keep one.  Whenever I see the container, I will always be reminded of the fun I had as a kid, baking cookies and other delicious treats with my mom.  Now, my mom and I can make new baking memories with the new containers.

Day 136

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were hilarious at the Golden Globes!

Day 135

I went for a little walk on lunch at work today.  Some of the river is still frozen.  The ice is thin enough, though, that you can see things floating by underneath.  Sometimes the geese would peck at the ice thinking they could grab the floaters.

Home Alone was on tv.  Although I think spiders are kind of creepy, the tarantula in that movie has somehow always seemed friendly to me.

Day 134

I made another button stamp for the register today at work.

This duck was a scribble drawing.  The red was the original scribble.

Day 133

For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

Day 132

I saw a coyote today.
He was in a field along with some miniature horses.

 Beautiful sunset!

I wanted to do a scribble drawing today.  Here's the scribble:
Instead of just doing one drawing with it, I traced the shape and did a few.

Day 131

I went to the movies today.  These geese had gone to see Flight.
They were disappointed with the movie, thinking it would be about something else.  Feeling ripped-off because of a misleading title, they left 'presents' all over the sidewalk to make sure their displeasure would not go unnoticed.

For today's Artventure, I tried a simple animation by drawing and then taking pictures of the drawings.
