Day 180

Those storm clouds gather in her eyes..."

Day 174

I finished an animation of a flour sack.  I got positive feedback on it, but also a suggestion to add one more frame to get the timing a little nicer.  Here is the frame I added today:

Next up?  A walk cycle.  I took some notes on the cycle and will be getting started on it this week.

Day 172

Today's sketch may look somewhat similar to yesterday's, but this one was drawn from memory based on what I had drawn yesterday.  I think I'm improving upon drawing from memory, which has been somewhat of a struggle for me.

I kind of the like the more angular look of this wolf.

Day 170

Fun with Fire!

At work I have to write the date and my drawer number on each slip.  Today I had drawer 6.

I used that as a "scribble" for a scribble drawing and drew a dog dreaming about a bone:

Day 169

I spent some time with my niece and nephew today.  We did a bunch of different things and tried to draw something about each thing we did.

We went to a music store:

I love the guitars that my neice drew hanging all along the wall.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese for a little bit.  We sat by the puppet animals/people that sing on stage.

Then we picked one we liked and drew it:

I am amazed at how good my niece is getting!  She was bummed she didn't have a purple crayon, but she said she could "use her imagination" and use blue instead.

We also went to a book store where we read about Barbie being in the Nutcracker and about planting pumpkins- with the help of your dog!

I made my nephew's a little darker because it was hard to see the dog he drew on the left.  I was so impressed that he put a stem on the pumpkin when drawing it from memory.

My niece's Barbie is so beautiful!

Day 168 (Happy Valentine's Day!)

I went by my Grandpa's today.  I wanted to show him how I do the scribble drawings, so I had him help me out with this one:

He scribbled and I added a little to make it look like a sleeping dog.

My valentine from the museum.

Day 167

I took some pictures today.  I have to reformat the files before I can upload them.  Hopefully I can get that done this weekend.  One shot I missed was of an owl that I saw after it started getting dark.  I need to be quicker with the draw of my camera!  But, I can always just draw what I see if I miss a shot.
I couldn't tell what kind of owl it was, but we'll go with this one:

Day 166

Questions.
Life is filled with so many questions, many of which we will never find the answers.

"How strange, this feeling that my life's begun at last...
In my life
There are so many questions and answers
That somehow seem wrong
In my life
There are times when I catch in the silence
The sigh of a faraway song
And it sings
Of a world that I long to see
Out of reach
Just a whisper away
Waiting for me"

Day 165

I drew an elf today.
It looks especially rough because I drew it with my left hand.

Day 163

Lioness at sunset.

I busted out some paint today and made a little oval outline on a small piece of wood.

I'm not sure what I'll use this for yet.

Day 162

Scribble drawings:

A cat wearing a cat ear hat (scribble outlined in purple).

A Spock/vampire (scribble is the black line).
