I used to be obsessed with tigers. I bought multiple tiger calendars each year and had four posters of tigers hanging on my wall. I even did a painting of one when I was in high school:
Though I haven't done any art involving tigers in quite some time, I still think tigers are absolutely beautiful and majestic creatures (and writing this post makes me want to dig out one of those old posters and hang it back up). I saw a trailer today for Life of Pi, and was inspired to draw a tiger. I wanted to see if I could draw the eyes from memory...
I was rusty, but I'm glad I gave it a shot from memory first. I then got out one of the many old calendars I bought years ago (this one was from 2007) and gave it another go.
